BLOOD DRIVE... A huge THANK YOU to everyone who helped with the blood drive, those of you who donated, and teachers who allowed students to miss class for a great cause. 68 pints were collected yesterday, down from our typical numbers, but there were a lot of deferrals due to low hemoglobin. 84 people tried to donate. So thanks to all--and make sure you get plenty of iron in your diet before the spring drive! -Ms. Eckhardt

CONGRATS... to STORMIN' NORMIN on his third place finish at the Mascot Olympics. Thanks to everyone who supported Normin at the Olympics and watched the events.

CONGRATULATIONS.... to the top 3 junior magazine sellers. Top seller and winner of the MP3 Player is Jared Jirak. Jessie Donels came in second and Bryan Klouda in third. Nice job to all those who made the effort. Stay tuned for the top Newsletter Sales' winners!

CHEERLEADING... This Saturday the football cheerleaders head to Des Moines to compete in the State Cheerleadings Championships at Vets Auditorium at approximately 10:30 a.m. We'd love to have our fans cheer on the cheerleaders, if you can't make the trip the squad will be performing in the wrestling room Friday after school at 3:40 p.m. Hope to see you there.

SPANISH ONE - THIRD BLOCK... Mrs. Pickering's third block Spanish 1 class needs to report straight to the library. Mrs. Dinger will give you your instructions.

BB & WRESTLING CHEERLEADERS... Practice will start Monday, November 16th at 3:40 in the Elementary Green Pod.

WARM-UPS... We will be taking orders for warm-up jackets and/or pants for winter sports. They are available in adult sizes S-XL. Samples for both girls and guys are on hand in the activities office for you to see and to try on so you can get the correct size. Order forms are available as well in the activities office. Get the jacket or pants for $30, or get both for $60. CPU will be embroidered in gold on the front left side of the jacket. All orders must be received by Friday, November 13th.

GIRLS INDOOR SOCCER... Please pick up an information sheet in the activities office regarding registration. Registration is Thursday Nov. 5 at the Elementary.

BOOSTER CLUB ORDERS... The CPU Booster Club will be placing a holiday order on November 11th and items will arrive the first part of December in time for the holidays. If you are interested in placing an order you can download the order from off the school website at www.cpuschools.org Once on hte website click on Activities Office, then holiday order. If you wish to place an order, just print the order form, fill it out and send it to school along with the payment by November 11th.
